From Casual to Professional: Upgrade Your Home Office with an Electric Standing Desk
With the way the world has changed in the last few years, some of us find ourselves working from home more often. In theory, this sounds amazing, between saving time traveling to and from work, being able to enjoy the comforts of our own home, and even sometimes rolling right out of bed and working in your pajamas or lounge wear.
This was everything I wanted until I had to work from home and realized I didn’t really have a space dedicated in my home that would function as an office. While I can certainly make do with my laptop screen and working at the kitchen table, it isn’t ideal since I work with 6 program windows open at all times, and multiple tabs open on my web browser. It's busy and chaotic to try and manage that all from one computer screen; I much prefer having a dual monitor setup with my laptop as a third screen. I knew I needed to get a desk that could house all of that and still meet the functionality that I was looking for.
In the office, I have a standing desk that I love as my job requires me to be on the phone a lot of the day, and often times while on the phone I have a tendency to stand or walk around. I was curious and started searching on Amazon to see what the price range would be, thinking it would be way out of my price range. I was pleasantly surprised when it was less than $150.
The Electric Standing Desk comes in a variety of sizes, but 48 inches long and 24 inches wide is the one that best suits my needs. It can hold up to 176 lbs of equipment, and you can customize your desired height from 28.3" to 46.5”. One of the things I absolutely love about this option is that it has a cable clip in the back to keep all the cables orderly and out of the way when adjusting from sitting to standing. With over 1000+ reviews and a 4.6-star rating, this was an easy decision to make to take care of my work-from-home needs.
